World Explorer

Set sail on an around-the-world adventure where your decisions determine whether you make it home.

World Explorer is a browser-based adventure game inspired by classic choose-your-own-adventure games, survival games, and old-school 8-bit gaming.

You begin with a boat, a crew, limited money, and a choice of supplies. From there, the journey can take some unexpected turns.

Along the way you may:

• Visit ports around the world
• Manage food, water, money, morale, and travel time
• Decide which supplies are worth carrying
• Encounter storms, pirates, illness, and other dangers
• Pick up passengers and decide when to help strangers
• Discover messages, unexpected opportunities, and hidden events
• Make choices that can change the course of the voyage
• Find different outcomes depending on your decisions
• Occasionally discover that an item you thought was useless was not useless at all

There is no single perfect way to play. Some decisions pay off immediately. Others may not matter until much later in the voyage.

Your goal is simple:

Sail around the world and make it home.

How you get there is up to you.

World Explorer was designed to encourage replaying the voyage. Different decisions, equipment, passengers, and events can produce very different journeys.

You probably won't see everything the first time.
